Knitted Christmas Stocking
This stocking is knit exactly like a real sock, so if you want to learn to knit socks, this would a great place to start. Learn all the steps while making a lower commitment piece (it is only one sock instead of a pair, and the yarn is much thicker which makes it go more quickly).
Techniques covered include working in the round with circular needles, changing colors, making a heel flap and gusset, picking up stitches, and finishing with the kitchener stitch. If you choose the optional images, you will learn to add those using the duplicate stitch, which is an alternative method for creating designs without using stranded colorwork. This three-part class finishes up in time for Christmas!
