Puff Washcloth Pattern

size 5 mm hook with Blue Sky Organic Cotton or other worsted weight cotton yarn

Foundation:

adult wash cloth - chain 30 (finished cloth roughly 9.5” x 11”)

child wash cloth – chain 20 (finished cloth roughly 7” x 6.5”)

Row 1: DC in 3^rd st from hook, repeat across

Row 2: for adult wash cloth only – skip for child size

CH 2, DC in 2^nd st, repeat across, ending with final st in top of CH 2

Row 3: CH 1, HDC in 2^nd st, repeat across, ending with final st in top of CH 2

Row 4: CH 2, DC in 2^nd st, repeat across, ending with final st in top of CH 1

Row 5: CH 1, PUFF in 2^nd st, HDC, alternate across, ending with HDC in top of CH 2

for adult wash cloth Puff: YO, insert hook, pull up loop, repeat 4 more times, there are 11 loops on your hook, YO and pull through all 11 loops

for child wash cloth Puff: YO, insert hook, pull up loop, repeat 2 more times, there are 7 loops on your hook, YO and pull through all 11 loops

Row 6: CH 2, DC in 2^nd st (top of HDC), repeat across in each st, ending with final st in top of CH 1

Row 7: for adult wash cloth only – skip for child size

CH 1, HDC in 2^nd st, repeat across, ending with final st in top of CH 2

Row 8: for adult wash cloth only – skip for child size

CH 2, DC in 2^nd st, repeat across, ending with final st in top of CH 1

Row 9:  CH 1, PUFF in 2^nd st, HDC, alternate across, ending with HDC in top of CH 2

Finish with a HDC edging:
